Fishtown’s Village Cheese Shanty Returns to Original Location

“Work began Friday to put the Village Cheese Shanty back in its home in Leland’s Fishtown. This is a month after it had to be lifted off the ground and temporarily relocated because of high water levels. The lake levels have wreaked havoc on the historic Fishtown, which sits right on the water. For months Fishtown has been working to address the problem. For the Cheese Shanty new concrete flooring was poured, making the new floor 16 inches higher.”
